Ambassador — Angela Covert
Angela Covert
Born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Angela Covert began riding at just 6 years old in the Pony, hunter and equitation divisions. At only 14 she entered the junior jumper ranks. Through her teen years, she was able to compete successfully and was awarded the Gillian Wilson Trophy in 1994. She continued to further her development over the years by working as trainer at Spruce Meadows Show Jumping Facility in Calgary, Alberta.
Throughout the early 2000s, Angela has seen many victories in Grand Prix's all over the country. In 2010, she became a member of the Nations' Cup Team in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The following year, she lead the team to success in the Nations' Cup and placing 2nd in the World Cup Grand Prix.
Currently, Angela still competes throughout North America and Europe. Not only is she hard at work as a coach, she also is a Rider Representative for Just World International. Additionally, she donates prize money to fund a medical clinic in Guatemala by the not-for-profit, humanitarian organization.
